Antonietta Collins

Antonietta Toni Gonzales-Collins, who is a Mexican American journalist. She's an ESPN news anchor and hosts SportsNation sometimes. She was hired by ESPN in 2016. She is the daughter of the reporter for television Maria Antonieta Collins. Antonietta has been bilingual since age nine. Her skill was instrumental in helping her get her first position as an assistant to the production team at Univision Miami, where she assisted the production of shows like Nuestra Belleza Latina and Premios Lo Nuestro Premios Juventud. Her first job was as a reporter for CBS St. Petersburg. CBS St. Petersburg affiliate in the following year. Her move into Rio Grande Valley in 2009 to work as a reporter on the Spanish stations KNVO TV 48 Univision, as well as Fox2 News. In addition to reporting on issues related to immigration and drug-trafficking on both sides of the border with Mexico. She worked as a reporter on the 5 p.m. Spanish newscast a reporter and later anchor of news at 9 p.m. news in English and also reporting for the 10:30 p.m. Spanish newscast. It was not uncommon for her to serve as a sports and weather anchor. She was then the anchor reporter and anchor for Univision Dallas' Deportes 23. The station then gave her more responsibility. She was a reporter for all of the Major League Baseball ALDS ALCS World Series and Dallas Cowboys, NBA postseason and finals FC Dallas as well. She also hosted the local Univision 23 sports show Accion Deportiva Extra. She also served as the anchor for sports on Despierta America Deportes morning show. The anchor also worked in a similar role for Primer Impacto on UniMas Network and Contacto Deportivo for its magazine show. Antonietta Collins' parents are originally from Veracruz Mexico. She was born November 22, 1985 on the 22nd of November in Mexico City. She is more mature than her younger sister. In 1992 the family left Mexico for the US and relocated to Miami. In 1992, her parents split following which, in the year 1995 she married Fabio Fajardo who was a naval engineer who passed away in the year 2006 from kidney cancer. It was during a time of summer when she was together with her sister in Canton Ohio where the older Collins girl got the job. Antonietta who was in high school with an idea of what she wanted her career to be like, travelled to Mount Union University to check whether it was a good fit for her. It turned out that she was a fan of the campus, and the university offered the major she wanted. Following the completion of her high school education, she enrolled in the University to pursue media studies. Her instructor Mark Bergmann, who managed WRMU Radio and was participant in her class established a long-lasting relationship with the student. Mark's passion for journalism and her self-confidence inspired her. In turn, she was determined to achieve his standards and not fail him.
